PROJECT OVERVIEW
What is Radient Market?
Radiant Market is a comprehensive grocery shopping application designed to enhance the shopping experience for users. It offers innovative features such as in-store map navigation to expedite product location, a digital receipt screen to promote environmental sustainability, and seamless integration between online and in-store shopping. The project aims to revolutionise grocery shopping by prioritising user convenience and eco-friendliness.
USER RESEARCH
Target Audience
The eCommerce app targets busy professionals, parents, eco-conscious consumers, tech enthusiasts, health-conscious shoppers, millennials, and urban dwellers. These users seek convenience, efficiency, and innovative solutions to streamline their daily routines. The app caters to tech-savvy individuals who value time-saving features, personalized recommendations, and seamless integration between online and in-store shopping experiences.
Design for Empathy
From the insight gathered from my potential users I worked on personas, user journeys, story boards and user flows. In order for me empathise with the users and make design decisions that are tailored to their needs.

In-Store Map Navigation: Streamlines the shopping process by helping users easily locate products within the store, reducing time spent searching.
Digital Receipts: Offers users the option to receive receipts digitally, minimising environmental waste and providing a clutter-free transaction experience.
Seamless Integration: Provides users with a seamless transition between online and in-store shopping, enhancing flexibility and convenience.
User-Centred Design: Prioritises user needs and preferences throughout the design process, ensuring the application meets user expectations effectively.
Digital Receipts
The inclusion of a digital receipt screen allows users to receive their purchase receipts electronically, eliminating the need for paper receipts. This not only reduces environmental waste but also provides users with a convenient and clutter-free way to manage their transactions.
In-store navigation
The map interface is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing customers to zoom in, zoom out, and pan across the store layout effortlessly. It provides a bird's-eye view of the store's floor plan, showcasing aisles, departments, and key landmarks.
Seamless Online and In-Store Integration
Users can switch seamlessly between online shopping and in-store browsing, enjoying the flexibility to shop however they prefer.
Smart Grocery Lists
Users can create and manage their grocery lists with ease, ensuring they never forget an essential item again and they can easily strike out products they have bought.This feature also helps them to know what is in stock before visiting the storeUsers can easily create and manage their grocery lists to ensure that they never forget any essential items again. Tracking Deliveries
Users can access real-time delivery updates and customer inquiries regarding delivery status. Customers can set preferences for delivery notifications, tailoring the experience to their needs.
Delivery Methods
Users have the flexibility to select from a diverse range of delivery methods for their products, ensuring that they can choose the option that best suits their preferences and needs.
Preferences
To ensure that users can interact with the app in a way that is most comfortable and efficient for them, ultimately improving satisfaction and usability. I also worked on dark mode for the product.
EVALUATION
User testing and Iteration
I conducted some user testing with 5 different users using the think aloud method to evaluate the quality of their experience.
Takeaway
Environmental Awareness: There's a strong preference among users for eco-friendly practices such as digital receipts, aligning with sustainability goals and reducing paper waste.
Market Fit: Understanding and meeting the needs of these diverse user segments ensures the product relevance and effectiveness in enhancing their shopping and household management experiences.
Prioritized Needs: Users prioritize convenience, efficiency, and innovative solutions that simplify their daily routines, making features like in-store map navigation and digital receipts highly appealing.
